Home Sweet Home

Here's my Home Sweet Home!!
I've been waiting forever to do this...(only because then that means my house is "somewhat" clean...!!!) There is still random things that are left out and about, maybe we'll play "i-spy" at some point. haha It'll be fun! As for now let me introuduce you to my:
Kitchen!! (I honestly wish I could describe how SMALL it is!! It's so small.) Nevertheless I do love it! Also a really cool thing that has happened for me...I have made dinner like every night!! except for three nights. We did two leftover nights and then Ty was so proud of me for making dinner for us all the time that he took me out to Chillies!! (don't stress...It was free thanks to gift cards!) There isn't a lot of storage cuppords so you can see my bookshelf holding some dishes, rags, candy, mixing bowls and whatever else ends up sitting there. haha
Our room! I love my bed. End of story. :) I also like sleeping! haha So first off I'm going to address the issue with the bears that are on the bed. You see the cute doctor bear, I got that for Tyson many moons ago. See the other bear...the one that's in what looks like Lingerie? Yeah that was at one point Eddy. I got him many many moons ago. He was orginally dressed in cute bear boxer shorts. However when Tyson and I got married Tyson didn't like the idea of another "man" being around, and his bear needed a "girl". So what happens? Eddy goes gay. He becomesa she, and of course when Ty is in charge of something we get things that resemble lingerie. So that's the story. I just needed to make it clear that it in no way represents our future.Ty being a doctor...me being a hooker...that is not the statement we are trying to make here. Alright on with other things. See that blue box that is serving as my night stand...It is also serving as a place for shoes! You were wondering where all my shoes were weren't you!! Well half are in there, half are under MY side of the bed and some are in the closet...and you will later see where 2 pairs of my shoes are that Tyson has banned me from wearing. Oh and see the cute entertainment center that isn't holding our TV because the TV doesn't fit...yeah that was my parents when they first got married! I grew up with that thing. Tyson thought it was awesome! So of course...we brought it. Oh and there is a little half bath right in our room. LoVe It!! However I had decided that, that sink is Tysons and he can use that space...and I get the space in our other bathroom!! haha!!

Our Guest room/my scrapbook/craft/sewing room :)
Isn't it so cute!!! Girlie would be more the word we're looking for!! haha I was so sick of Ty's "red and black" theme. While they are very nice colors to decorate with...I needed something BRIGHT. So alas. My room. He said I could decorate it any way I wanted to :) So in this room there is 6, of the 11 porcelin dolls I brought while the other 70 stayed home in Utah. And my they look fantastic!! I get to decorate that amoiror (sp?) with paint. I'm thinking White with the trim either pink, blue, or green. I also get to paint the table! (p.s. if you ever come visit this is where you will sleep! I promise I'll try to keep it super clean! haha) and last but not least there is the decorated "space" in the wall. :) love it, and then there is the last doll. (with the shoes I'm banned from wearing because I'm taller than Ty in them, but I still think they are WAY to adorable to get rid of) So we have the doll with the shoes. Lovely.

Next is our office. I love the shelf of Ty's accomplishments. There is all his amazing graduating stuff from Weber...Then his Jeep's license plate, and a mini jeep to remind him of jeeping. Love that Kid. There is his work space and his reading space. And then there is my Piano! (keyboard) but I love it!! I was so devistated when we had to leave my piano. We couldn't afford a real one to take and in all honesty, we wouldn't have fit it in the truck. Also carrying a piano up our hike of stairs...it probably would have killed someone. So Tyson being the AMAZING guy that he is, went and found this steal of a deal keyboard (that is only missing 12 keys) off of ksl. Oh how I miss ksl.

Next is Tyson's favorite room, and his greatest joy. TV room. On the entertainment center we will find the TV that he got for Christmas, (who ordered the TV?!) his CD player so he can rock to music, so far he hasn't adjusted to this day and age of I PODS! crazy kid. His WII system, and xbox system. His CD's and DVD'S. Man he loves sitting on the couch and looking at our entertainment center. I tried to add a few more things that he should love...like me, and Zumie and Raider, but so far he hasn't said a thing about them. Also in our front room we have our dining room table...because our kitchen really is that small, our futon and, our old style chairs.

Here is our full bathroom that is just outside of our dining room/living room :) now you see why I said I wanted this bathroom...look at the space!! I can do my hair and makeup and still have room to move!! yay!!

Lastly we have our "awesome" *cough* basement. It is frightfully scary and smelly down there. Please let's just add my two biggest fears and put them in one spot. Spiders and the Dark. Putting them together makes both of them 10 times worse. Someone wasn't thinking very straight. The steps are kinda just nailed randomly onto something. The railing is a pipe of some sort, and beware of the celing...it is lower than you think and you will hit your head on it really hard. haha. The next picture is of the awesome walk i have to take to get to my amazing (now thanks to Tyson and Curtis) washer and dryer! You know...I have always loved to do laundry. I don't know why and call me weird, but I just love it. It's very relaxing. haha. I was so excited to finally have my own washer and dryer too! Weird. (it's like when you have a bridal shower...and you're excited for dish towls...) Anyways, laundry isn't so much fun anymore now that I have to hike very carefully down these stairs, walk like a half of mile (okay I'm exaggerating a little) down a hall of spiders in order to get to the very back of the basement to reach my washer and dryer. They do kinda look like the diamond in the rough. Aren't they just so darling?! Anyways. Laundry isn't as fun anymore, however I would still rather do laundry than dust or clean the bathrooms. :) Sidenote: When we got here and got them all set up, we decided to run a load of wash. So we stick some clothes in, and when the washer goes to spin cycle (so it drains all the water out of the washer...) and as the water is going in and about through all the pipes...BAM...water comes shooting out of a hole that is in the pipe. Awesome. All over my already stinky basement. So we call and get a guy to come fix that. Good to go. Then we throw the clothes into the dryer...and the dryer don't work. Sweet. According to Tyson's mouth, it wasn't a very good thing. So We call up the place where we bought it from and describe what is happening...it'll light then kick off and when it tries to relight it doesn't. Say it's some gas valve solinoids part that's broken. So Ty gets on the phone to find a place that sells parts, and then gets in the car to go get it. when he got back he put it together and wala. I have a working washer and dryer!! YAY!!

It looks like a nice place! We have been in a lot of crazier apartments than yours seem to be. Getting used to such a small kitchen is always fun but before you know it you don't even realize how small it is anymore. Glad that you got the houose all put together :)

I think it is so cute! Good luck out there :) I bet it will fly by and you will be so much better for having this experience in your lives!
