Christmas Lesson

My mom is in the young womens, and she was in charge of the Christmas Lesson. She did a great job. She started out being so excited and talking about the "Glitter and Bliss" the "World's meaning" of Christmas, and then she asked the girls to look through the Christmas adds to figure out what they wanted, while they listened to some music. My mom then put in the song "Let Him In" from the Forgotten Carols. While all was going on Tyson and I became a part of her lesson. You see She had dressed us up as Mary and Joseph. When the song ended Ty and I both talked out our journey to Bethleham, and how being turned away from the inn, but led to a stable may have been a great blessing. I learned a lot while i was talking. It wouldn't have been sacred had the Savior of the World been born into the world at the Inn. It would have been to crowded, and no one in there was ready to accept the wonderful thing that was about to take place, but in the stable there was privacy and reverance, the spirit was able to dwell there. I love the gospel, and Christmas is such a wonderful time for me to be able to rethink what is important to me. So many times we get lost and we lose the meaning of Christmas and lose the focus of the savior in our lives. The gospel in true, and i'm so grateful i have been given the oppurnity to embrace the gospel and learn about it. I know the savior loves us and he wants the best for us. i'm so grateful for the atonement, without it i would be lost. I hope that This Christmas season we can let the savior into our lives and remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Now i'm not trying to be disrespectful in any way, but our dress up was to much to let it pass by without a picture....Tyson has his tie tied around his head holding on the head thing while he has a black piece of material wrapped around him sorta like a toga...and me i just material wrapped around me like a blanket. ha ha. we're kinda cute.

If you still have the stuff you & Ty read, I would like to see it. I have to speak in Sacrament. What a great testimony & a powerful lesson.

Thanks again for being so cute & patient with Gretchen.
