LaBoR dAy WeEkEnD

Labor Day Weekend my family, Tyson, and My Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Justin, Aunt Becky, Eli and Little Isaac went up to the Uintahs to scope out th area for Uncle Justin moose hunting trip coming up. We did hear it was supposed to rain and snow, but for some reason we thought we'd beat it and it wouldn't snow on us. . .right. :o)

i was so much fun going up there. Grandpa brought up his horses and we went for long rides.

Tyson even got to ride a horse for the first time. Grandpa definatly get's the first time riders used to horses fast. "here Tyson take this horse over so we can sadle him up" "okay hop on" ha haa it's okay though i wasn't worried. Grandpa did give him Face, and Face is probably the most mellow well mannored horse. nothing would happen to Ty when he's on Face. .. ...except for some massive saddle soreness. ha haa.

Eli was the cutest. Aunt Becky probably wanted to probably kill me. I pretty much kidnapped him while we were there. He's so fun to be around. we played candy land with him, gave him horse back rides, shot the bb gun with him. basically anything and everything he wanted.

There was a moose that'd come down right to our campsite. she stayed maybe 30 yards away but she was there. she went into the horse corrals and stole our horses food. ha haa it was fun to see wildlife that close.

Well it did rain on us, and it snowed. hahaa. it was wicked weather. my tent collapsed in the middle of the night because of the weight of the snow. However i didn't know it was the snow that collapsed it. Honestly all i could think of was that moose was back getting revenge because i took pictures of her. i was scared to death and finally when i got up the courage to ask for help. instead of just leting out a "Ty" (Tyson and Tyler's tent was right next to mine) "help me" i pretty much let out a scream of "Ty" "my tent collapsed and i think there is something outside, i can hear it" "help me"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha. my Grandma beat everyone out though. i did find out it was just snow, but it seriously scared me to death. I thought my life was going to be over. it did take me up to 30 minutes to finally get the courage to ask for help, because i kept hearing the snow slide over my tent which made me think "the animal" was still rubbing my tent. and since my tent was right on top of me i was pretty sure that when i yelled "the animal" would kick me or step on me. what a trip!!!

It was so much fun though. it was fun to be able to get away with family and relax with just the mountain smell!

Highlights of the trip: in no certain order.

1. Tyson and i walking up river, jumping from rock to rock until i fell in.

2. Eli getting locked in, in my grandmas bathroom in the camper. she was ready to hammer the door down when Tyson said he'd take the door off. Eli stated that we broke the door and was in utter shock that we did that. he later confessed to my grandma that he almost died in there!

3. Aunt Becky giving us our sunday school lesson on sunday. (it was a wonderful lesson and i'm so thankful for Becky's insight to the gospel) Eli sang I am a child of God, and gave us our opening prayer.

4. Abby HATING the camping stuff. she would NOT lay down in the dirt. i did bring out a little blanket and she did finally lay down on it, or she would sit on the stairs of our trailer until we let her in.

5. Spencer dedicating all his time to trying to chop a tree. didn't happen, he only got to the core. ha ha

6. tyson going on his first horseback ride.

7. my tent caving in and waking everyone up with my scream. (didn't get a picture of it since it was at 5 in the morning. but here's a picture at about 8 in the morning of the snowfall.)

8. Eli asking permission from my mom if it was okay to Beat Tyson and Spencer up.

9. Playing dominos! Becky not being able to find the double 11!!

10. isaac taking a huge bite of steak from Aunt Becky and Diving after the T-bone steak Uncle Juntin had in his hand!!
