Registering

I wasn't planning on registering for baby stuff. Wedding stuff was fun, because there was a lot of inexpensive and expensive things you could put on the list. Baby stuff...not so much. Have you taken a look at how expensive cribs are?? What killed me was the car seats. WHAT? I have looked at them once...and haven't looked again. I think I'm in denial.
Whatever back to registering. In the mail I got a book from a store all about baby stuff and registering. They gave me a 20.00 gift card to start a registry and then they apparently give you 10% off of everything on your registry, 6 weeks up until your due date. Oh yea...and you get a freebie goodie bag loaded with free stuff and coupons. I caved. I totally went and registered.
Yes, Dear husband came along too. Have I mentioned lately that I love him? Because I do. But I'll get deeper into that another day. This post is about him...but more along his funny humor  that I so adore.
We set off for the store. Got it all set up, and got our little scanner gun.
(This is the part Ty likes the most.)
My thoughts were to register for a bit of everything, even if it did cost only a dollar, because you end up getting 10% off. That'd make it .90 cents. Every penny counts in this household.
So as I'm wandering through the baby lotion isle smelling each one wondering what one I'll love most, I look behind me and Dear Tyson is scanning every barcode by the wipes. WHAT? So in mock shame I ask him
"What the heck are you doing? We only need one brand."
and I go to take the scanner from him and delete half of them, when I notice that not only has he scanned every barcode he has also put 10 of these items needed.
WhaT. ThE. EfF.
In questioning his response was
"Well, we don't know what brand we'll enjoy using the most, and as far as I know wipes are a pretty crucial thing and we'll be using a lot. So we might as well stock up on them while we can and while they are a tad bit cheaper."
Can't argue with that. Well at least I didn't.
If you were to look at our registry you'd also find Diapers, brands huggies and pampers, ranging from size NB to 3. And yes. 10 items needed.
Also you'd find every lotion, soap, butt paste, baby powder, binkies, and bottles.
Oh and quite possibly a "Jeep" brand diaper bag.
Oh well. At least I have all my bases covered.
and to think, I was worried about the expensive things that people would have see I wanted. No, No. I just have to deal with the funniness of them seeing all the million little things.

The next store might be done while the man of the house is studying for the boards.
:)
