We are back home! Can you believe it? It's a tad bit bitter-sweet...
For example I really missed my bed. However I don't miss having to cook again every night. ;)
It was a crazy trip...But SSSOOOOOOO Much fun. I'd do it again in a heart beat. {Except I'd take out those moments that dealt with PMS...stuff sucks}
I'll start off with my panic moments of thinking about dealing with a cat on the plane. It Actually wasn't bad, just the process of getting there was. We had called the vet and asked for a sedative, I wanted our cat to be knocked out! Wanted to go Incognito with a cat. Did not want to draw anytype of attention to us...I hate attention. haha. Vet says "hey benadryl works. just give her 1.5cc." DUH why didn't we think of that? Saturday morning comes and we thought we'd give her the benadryl an hour and a half before we have to go. Turns out when we put it in her mouth she had a reaction. She started foming at the mouth...it looked like she had morbid rabis. I freak out thinking she's allergic, but then Ty "gently" reminded me that you can't be allergic to benadryl because it's an antihistamine it's be very rare if she was! So we stare at her in utter shock, just cleaning up all the spit. Ty tries to call the vet but of course there was a wait in order to talk to him. So we did what I'm super good at! We googled it. :) {I google any questions that I have, It's become quite the addiction...} Turns out it's a naturl reaction that cats will foam at the mouth, the benadryl is very bitter to them. Guess what we did next. We gave her more, and didn't feel bad that she didn't like it. haha She was fantastic on the airplane. I don't think she got enough benadryl down to make her fall asleep, but there was enough to keep her lazy the whole time. Did you know traveling with pets is quite popular? I've never seen pets travle with people until we took Nilee on the plane, but then I saw 3 other cats and 2 dogs. Amazing.
We got home, had a fabulous BBQ the next day. (oh how I miss family cook outs...) Had two days to get things together for Moab. Then left for 10 days to Ty's favorite place. Once we returned from Moab I got to go see some old friends at a baby shower! It was so fun to see old friends and catch up. :) So tickled that I was home to go. Again we had just 2 days to be home and relax before we headed up to our next adventure. On these "relaxing days we didn't really do much, except run around and see people. haha. Wednesday we headed up to bear lake to have a little party with friends. We had a week to enjoy being home. It was quite the vacation. We ran around with our heads chopped off mostly...but it was so fun and I'm so glad I was able to go home.
Until next time Utah!!
