I'll Be Home For Christmas...

The song "I'll be home for Christmas" has never truly been a Christmas Song until this year. It's always been one of those song that you change the station when you hear it. However this year it was link Bing Crosby was singing the words of my very own little heart. SOooo since it was so special this year I researched it. Did you know a man name Buck Ram wrote the lyrics to that song as a homesick college student? He also first named it "I'll be home for Christmas, tho' just in memory". Kinda makes me slightly sad. He probably never got to go home to be with his family. :( I'd have been devastated if I couldn't have made it home this year. With that to say I am so thankful that we were able to go and celebrate Christmas with family :)
I loved being home. I loved just playing games with everyone! I loved staying up late and laughing! I'm also so grateful that my family and Ty's family gets along so wonderfully fantastic, that we can do everything together.

And Of course Tyson Trimmed his beard. :) Ty's mom asked for him to shave it as her Christmas gift. I'm still not sure if SHE wanted it, or if she wanted to just say she wanted it for my sake....(not that i didn't like it...but common...haha he's a doll.)
We had multiple family parties! It was strange not having Tyler around. However it was good to talk to him Christmas Day. :)

Of Course we can't pass up Hardware Ranch on Christmas Eve! That's the best ever!! This year we went with a little twist though....We went with our own set of antlers!! It was fun that My family was able to tag along since it is a Christensen tradition. ;) This year was a bonus though! They were actually open and we were able to do the sleigh ride!! yipee!! (can't wait until i have a little kid so that I can take them!) also...we did take a group picture with Tyson's family...however I'm not sure where it ended up in the cyber space of memory cards. :( P.s. I LOVED the fresh air of Utah Mountains up there. The clear sky. The Snow. And of Course...The Mountains. Oh and family. ;)

Michele was Sweet enough to supply Tyson and I with a matching bear set of Christmas Eve pajamas. :) So wonderful...and I love my new orange PJ's. ;)
AHHH....Our Sleepover. Well. This is the reason Tyson is so in love with Mario Galexy, Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart...He's gotta keep up with our little cousins. :) I love it how Tyson wants to be such a big part in my cousins lives. He does anything he can to be the coolest most loved cousin...and let me tell you...he has achived that plus some. Since he's the coolest and he's been gone for so long "They" came up with the idea of a sleepover. 5 little boys. Ages 8, 6, 5, 4, and 3. Wow. (However Little Miss Brook was already gone when the sleepover plans were made...so I was a little out numbered. boys 6, girls 1. It made for a long, but fun night. And an early morning! (Of course that's why I was sleeping over there on the couch still...) and Good ole Uncle Matt made us some fantastic Pancakes for breakfast! :) (That Isaac said weren't very good...)

Gosh I love family!! The best way ever to spend holidays. :)
Top 10 best things about Christmas this year...
10. Being able to lay on the floor/carpet and having it be comfortable. :)
9. Tyson working on the jeep with his dad...and me being able to spend quality girl time with mom's.
8. GREAT FOOD
7. Seeing the beautiful mountains!!
6. Playing Scum. :)
5. So many wonderful thoughtful Christmas gifts!
4. Tyler getting rid of almost all his clothes and giving his hand-me-downs or ups... to Tyson...Giving Ty some long sleeve shirts he can wear!!
3. My sister turning 12 on December 2. Therefore getting a Temple Recommend. She asked us to go with her while we were home. So the day she got her spacer put in (poor girl needs a spacer to space out her pallet in her mouth...:( ) We went to the Ogden Temple. It was such a special experience for me (and I think everyone) because I got to go with my little sister for her first time, and it was also Tyson's first time to actually perform the baptisms.
2. Tyson being inducted into "Adult-hood" but Eli putting up a veto it. (The Anderson's had a big adult get together dinner. Aunt Becky was trying to explain to Eli and Isaac what was going on. That they'd go to Uncle Matts to play but would only see Uncle Matt and Aunt Sandy for a little bit because the adults were going out to dinner. Same with only seeing Grandma and Grandpa for a little bit, but it'd be okay because they'd get to play with all their cousins still. While explaining that they'd only see the adults for a little bit Eli was okay with everything...just saying "okay" all happy like. Then she said "and you'll only see Tyson for a little bit" Which caused some grief. "WHAT? Tyson's an Adult now?! When did that happen?!" apparently Tyson's at the kid table from now on ;)
1. Finding out we really live in "Pigsburgh" (Said by Little Eli. "Why do they have to go back to Pigsburgh?"
But the top all time best.....
Family.
