For Christmas my parents took everyone on a trip to wonderful Cancun. I am so thankful for this trip. It was fun being able to hang out with family, make new fun memories, and get "out" before Med school sets "in" hard core next year! :) We stayed at the Grand Sirens All-inclusive resort. Beach right out side your room + all the pina coladas you want = Heaven.

And since I'm not a very good scrapbooker anymore everyone will just have to deal with the picture overload...This blog will soonly hopefully be a journal/scrapbook :) live with it.
This was Tyson's first trip outside of the US. He was such a doll the entire time. :) everything was so "new" to him and he had to talk about it all! He definitely was not used to the red eye flights, or the wonderful layover. (first dramatic part of the trip...When we arrived at the airport in SLC to board our flight to Denver, we were checking in and the Flight lady informed us that....all flights to Denver were canceled. Fantastic. Later we found out it was only Frontiers flights out of SLC. So then My dad decides to through a fit. Well darlin' we've got a connecting flight in Denver to get to Mexico, so I suggest you put us on the Delta flight, or the US airways flight. Turns out the reason frontiers flights were canceled was because the pilots weren't fog flying certified. Weird. Anyways so we were thankful we got there 3 hours early, because once they got us on the US airways flight we had 45 minutes to get through security and on the plane. PhEw! We made it!! When we landed in Denver, it seemed like the whole airport was shut down...and it was only 9:00. Great news is, is we hadn't had dinner yet. So we walked around and walked around until we found a McDonalds still open. yum. So we ate then went to our terminal. Next thing on the agenda was to check in with frontier since we flew there with US airways. Oh and we spent 13 dollars in a vending machine trying to get drinks for everyone for the next flight, and since no places were open...and there was only one vending machine...yeah...that's how it went down.
We finally made it to Mexico. What a Night. We got to the hotel at about 7 in the morning. So naturally they didn't have our room made up yet. We got into out luggage, and grabbed out the swim suits. Who cares about our room. You concierge watch my luggage, it usually stays pretty good. And off we went. ;) We first had to check out the Dive area and Get our dive scheduled. Duh! Then we went on a trip to see what this resort was all about. Well turns out it's huge and covered with trees and pathways. We got lost a couple of times, but hey, no worries right!!

Between Playing on the beach, finding places to nap, drinking all the drinks...we finally got our rooms. they were fun! different, they were wide open...bathroom tub and all...but It was fun! Tyson was a hoot! He wanted to do everything. He was enjoying the Mexican air! haha.

Scuba Diving!!
!!Scares me to DEATH!!
But has the best high!! Anyways, We all got to go Scuba diving! It was a load of fun!! The only downer about it this time was I had just bought a new snorkle, and when we jumped off the boat...the snorkle broke off Ty's goggles and down...down....down and gone the snorkle went. Darn! oh well. Decending was hard for me this time, not sure why, but I couldn't get my ears to equalize. Finally they did and we went off exploring. It's a whole new world under the ocean...it's amazing!! Oh and the best part about it all was that I didn't see any Sharks, or Whales! phew! The ocean water was warmer than the air. Fantastic! Much better than Puerta Vallarta, and my Blue freezing Lips! haha.
Best part about the place!! All you can have drinks! All you can have Nachos!! All you can have Fun, food, sun! yum! Night life was amazing there! For dinners you had to dress up. It was marvelous! So many times you go places and look like crap all the time becuase there's never a need to get ready...well for dinners here you had to dress up! So much fun!!! It wasn't all super fancy like prom dresses dress up, but simple gotta look nice sorta dress up. :)
They always had a themed night, So all of their activities revolved around that Theme. They had vegas style, Mexican night, hollywood, super heros...
We got to visit the Coba Myan ruins. They were pretty amazing! Their temple is one of the only ones left that you can climb. What a stinking workout!! I should have lived then, I'd probably be skinny...and tan.
The view from the top was incredible! It amazes me to think about how the people back then made these things!? Holy Crap!!! After we visited their land we went to the sacred Cenote and swam in it! fun day!!
Well that was about our trip. I loved every minute of it and i'm glad that my parents were able to take us with them on this amazing trip. Thanks a bunch!!
